The Turkish Foreign Ministry has issued a warning to its citizens not to travel to Japan, to the chaotic situation in that country after the devastating earthquake last Friday and the risk of a nuclear accident.

In a statement issued Wednesday by the Turkish Foreign Ministry is advising citizens not to travel to Japan unless it is absolutely essential to do so, warning that the situation in the country advised against any travel, while states there is a risk of contamination by radioactivity due to breakdowns and nuclear explosions damaged after the devastating earthquake and tsunami of last Friday.

The announcement
issued today also asked Turkish citizens already in the country to be alert to events and pay attention to any warning or message issued by the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Tokyo and Nipponese authorities.
